About the Book:
Noam, my son, is growing up in a multilingual home: not one language, not two, not three, but four different languages.
I wrote and illustrated this book for him, with the wish to encourage familiarity with linguistic diversity, with difference, and with the idea that while sounds may vary, the meaning remains the same.
And most importantly: That there is great joy and advantage in knowing several languages, and that they can open the door to new friendships and connections.
I chose a minimalistic style for the story and the visual language, and tried to refine them into the essentials.
With that, I hoped to allow focus and clarity. These choices were inspired by the Montessori approach that encourages simplicity.
